How To Sneak A Camera Into A Concert

Virtually concerts permit compact cameras, while others only allow jail cell phone cameras. Most performers welcome the increased social media activity and photos during concerts. I am looking for the highest quality compact photographic camera with the most particular in the pixel subsequently you download the photo and zoom in.  We have tried and then many $500 range cameras and almost simply deceit stay upwardly with the low light and the motion indoors to get good performance shots. I am not worried about cost, just a small camera that has meridian quality loftier resolution without pixelation loss at depression light. If it had a nice easy to use film manner it would be a plus too! Thanks for the aid.

Re: A photographic camera to sneak into concerts with

biggest upshot is how much zoom exercise you need ?. Most compacts that good in lowlight don't have much zoom with the 24mm-75mm f1.viii-f2.8 been the most pop compromise .

Cameras like the lx100, rx100mk3 onwards . Panasonic lx10/fifteen or if you demand zoom something similar the tz100/200.

If they allow and welcome it, why do you demand to "sneak"?

Sorry I used that word - I understand it could be viewed as something not supposed to be doing  Every bit you know, about concert performance stars welcome cameras and photos. Others do non and I hope that people can respect the "rules" of the venue. As a police force enforcement officeholder myself. I used the discussion "sneak" every bit a term to muffle in a pocket or be able to hands put abroad. Since I carry 2 wallets a pair of glasses, I sure don't demand to be holding something else in my hand along with popcorn and a drink. Thanks for the support and hopefully yous can guide me in a good direction.

Equally a law enforcement officer; I carry a money/credit menu wallet along with a split up wallet that has my bluecoat ID and law enforcement cards ie: Miranda Alarm, Implied consent cards etc etc.   I appreciate everyone's interest in what I do, but its outweighing the help and guidance I am getting here. Your help with the question is appreciated!

well I actually employ m4/3 similar the em10mk2 with either the 25mm f1.8 or 45mm f1.eight lens or a sony A6000 with 50mm f1.8.. In saying that though I tend to become to very pocket-sized venues .

Ok thanks for the input - I tend to go to both, but with Taylor Swift and Shania Twain coming upwards soon - I would love to have a camera that could capture the hair on their legs!

Actually, that was a bad example... not really high ISO, or optimized exposure settings... here's ane from the same vocal. The shot isn't as good, just the settings are more advisable - shot with a 100-400mm variable aperture lens.  This is the offset fourth dimension I've used it in depression light, and I'm still trying to get my head round how to optimize for the variable aperture.

As a general rule, the smaller the camera, the worse the low light performance AND the more telephoto/zoom, the worse the low light performance. A tiny photographic camera with zoom is going to suck, no magic here, its pretty much physics--merely similar you establish out.

You lot want a wide angle pocket camera with good low light, achievable.

I think of only the Trojan Horse Panasonic GX-85 + the Olympus 15mm f/8 lens. It's "small size" oft mis-identified as a-bit-big compact.

The real killer is the 35-100mm f/2.8 lens. Small & light plenty to be put in the pocket. Once within the concert, swap the 15mm with this niggling beast. You may be able to keep the 15mm in your wallet!

Pana GM serie is smaller. Less "efficacy" than the GX, simply more than stealth. Wish your sneaking impossible mission legally success.

You'll have a hard time with out flash and a small camera, I even struggle with A7s/GH5s ISO 12800 and F1.4 in some nightclubs with out flash.
Your best bet is to anticipate bright stage lights going off and then shooting multiple frames.

Nikon V1 & 32mm lens

I used to use a Nikon V1 with the 32mm f1.2 lens.

Totally silent shooting.

Information technology worked well - although I am not certain I ever 'sneaked' one in - I just used it when there was no problem to do so.

Re: A camera to sneak into concerts - - - DON'T do it!

If you are SNEAKING a photographic camera into a concert,  that means cameras are not allowed.
I've seen people arrested and thrown out of the venue for attempting to take photos where signs prohibiting cameras,  including prison cell phones with camera are prominently displayed.

fishy wishy

Question has to be asked: who are y'all expecting to be in conflict with here? Venue owners, artists, bouncers? Whether you lot volition become away with taking photos depends on where the enforcers are placed, where you are and how often you are taking photos.

Some performers are a bit 'special' about filming, moaning virtually too many people being interested in recording that they were there rather than getting into the gig.

Even though people will probably hardly be able to hear you clicking abroad, I'd still recommend mirrorless, especially with a silent shutter option and stabilisation.

An onetime E-M1 for maybe $500 would get you silent shutter and stabilisation, has a mid-sized sensor and is reasonably compact. You could try a prime to become equally much light as you can onto the sensor. The movie mode is 24/30p and lacks AF, but you probably won't need information technology at gigs.

You demand to check out the venue photos to see how long a lens you volition need and plug in the distance to a photo calculator, e.g. yous could fill the frame with someone at 15m with a 200mm equivalent lens or something.
