This is a great book for people who are looking for more abstract origami techniques. The steps are well illustrated and pretty easy to follow.
For architects this is also a great source of inspiration for structural and design methods. My only critique would be that it's rather short. This is a great book for people who are looking for more abstract origami techniques. The steps are well illustrated and pretty easy to follow.

I used the excercises in my 'Lightness' class at OCADU to introduce students to folds, deployable structures and as part of their project on solar shade. There is a DVD that accompanies the book which is okay, but the online videos are especially helpful for more involved techniques. Both text and images are very clear and easy to follow in the book with the choice of b/w good with minimal colour used where necessary in diagrams. ...more

Folding paper is not just about origami...it is a skill that comes up in book arts (for example) all the time, and this meticulous and beautifully photographed book will give any artist who works with paper (or fabric) a ton of ideas.

Love this book so much. I bought this book to learn how to make awesome-looking folded paper. Mission accomplished.
